In this paper I explored the deficiencies of the Dewey Decimal system and why it is no longer relevant in today's society. I wrote about "ditching Dewey" and using a different system of organization, to make the library more useful for our students and patrons.

LIS5526 Teaching Information Literacy
In today's world our students are confronted with a glut of information. As a school librarian teaching information literacy is a must. I developed this lesson to teach fifth graders how to tell fact from fiction in the information they receive. Implementing this lesson will require the use of many different educational technology mediums including a SMART board, ChromeBooks, Google Slides, and Pear Deck.
